This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets the rules for using the Klinworks Services. It is incorporated into our Terms of Service. Violating this AUP may result in suspension or termination and, where appropriate, referral to authorities. Individual products may add stricter, product-specific rules.
01 General prohibitions
You may not use the Services to:
- break the law or infringe others' rights, including intellectual property, privacy, and publicity rights;
- engage in fraud, deception, phishing, spam, or other misleading or deceptive practices;
- harass, threaten, defame, or harm others, or promote violence or self-harm;
- produce or distribute child sexual abuse material or any content that sexualizes minors;
- distribute malware, or engage in activity intended to disrupt, degrade, or gain unauthorized access to systems or data.
02 Platform & security integrity
- Do not probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Services, or breach security or authentication measures without authorization.
- Do not interfere with the Services through excessive automated requests, denial-of-service, or similar means.
- Do not scrape or harvest data except as expressly permitted, and do not circumvent rate limits or access controls.
- Do not reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code, models, or weights, except where the law prohibits that restriction.
03 Responsible use of AI
For products with AI capabilities, you additionally may not:
- use outputs to build or train competing models or products;
- generate content that facilitates serious harm — including weapons of mass destruction, credible threats, or instructions for serious violence or illegal activity;
- create deceptive synthetic media (for example, impersonation, non-consensual intimate imagery, or election disinformation) or present AI output as human-generated where doing so is deceptive or unlawful;
- use AI features for automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects on people without appropriate human oversight and disclosures;
- provide inputs you do not have the right to use, or that contain others' sensitive personal data without a lawful basis.
AI outputs can be inaccurate or incomplete. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying outputs before relying on or distributing them.
04 Enforcement
We may investigate suspected violations and take action we consider appropriate, including removing content, limiting or suspending access, terminating accounts, and cooperating with law enforcement. We may also act to protect the security, integrity, and availability of the Services.
